Trident Flight Training is now Pray Aviation.Our Story
Pray Aviation took flight in 2013 at Salina Airport in Kansas, beginning with a single Cessna 172 aircraft. Experiencing rapid growth, they purchased land at Augusta Municipal Airport, developing it into a hub for operations, training facilities, student accommodations, and a maintenance hangar. This move to their new home in 2015 marked a significant milestone.
In 2022, Pray Aviation’s expansion soared. They added three training locations:
• Milton, FL (SEVIS/VA/GI BILL® APPROVED)
• Ozark, AL (VA/GI BILL® APPROVED)
• Easton, MD (SEVIS/VA/GI BILL® APPROVED)
This expansion also brought a larger fleet, now boasting over 50 aircraft, including nine multi-engine Aircraft for advanced training.

Our Management
Our management team is led by Matthew Pray, our Owner and Founder. After serving as a Blackhawk Air Assault Pilot for the United States Army for 13 years, Matthew’s passion for flight training and developing new pilots ignited the creation of Pray Aviation.
Matthew Pray’s vast aviation experience includes over 5000 flight hours, international operations across 40 countries on six continents, and certifications in multiple aircraft types (CE-680, CE-560XL, CE-525, CE-510, BE-300, B505, HS-125, and S70). These credentials establish him as a true veteran and master trainer in the industry.
His academic achievements, including a Master’s degree in Commercial Aviation (Summa Cum Laude) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Pilot with an Aviation Safety Minor, further solidify his expertise in the field of aviation.
Our Maintenance Crew
Pray Aviation takes pride in its in-house team of aircraft mechanics, located in our personal hangars that are only a few steps away from our main facility. The Pray Aviation maintenance team is available seven days a week to ensure that our customers always receive top-quality service. With a combined experience of over 100 years among our team members across four different locations, we strive to deliver the best possible service to our valued customers.
Our convenient personal hangars and skilled maintenance crew ensure quick turnaround times and the highest level of serviceability. This guarantees that our aircraft are always at their optimum performance level and available to fly daily throughout the year.
