Pray Aviation started its humble beginnings out of Salina Airport, Kansas with a single Cessna-172 in 2013. From a single aircraft, Pray Aviation expanded rapidly and subsequently purchased a plot of land in Augusta Municipal Airport. The land was developed to house the operations and training facility, student accommodations and a maintenance hangar. In 2015, Pray Aviation finally moved into her new home.

To Provide Enhanced and Affordable Flight Training to Produce World Class Pilots

Enhanced, Accelerated Training and Affordability

Pray Aviation is now a Part 141/61 flight school with multiple locations across the country providing Enhanced, Accelerated and Affordable flight training to produce world class pilots. The key to an enhanced, accelerated training is formulating our own specialized training syllabus which ensures you meet all FAA Part 141/61 requirements. We focus on the necessary to get you ready for the certification while ensuring that the fundamentals of flying and safety standards are never compromised.

At Pray Aviation, we value customer satisfaction over profit. By having our very own in-house facilities such as a fuel farm, personal maintenance hangar, accommodations and transportation, we are able to provide a one-stop, cost-effective solution for our students especially those from out-of-state. Our prices are easily one of the most competitive in the US.

The management team is led by our owner/founder Matthew Pray. A former Blackhawk Air Assault Pilot for the United States Army for 8 years, Matthew decided his passion was in flight training and grooming of new aviators. This sparked the birth of Pray Aviation.

With more than 5000 flight hours and rich experience in international operations over 40 countries in 6 continents, Matthew Pray is a veteran pilot in the aviation industry. Holding certification type-rate CE-680, CE-560XL, CE-525, CE-510, BE-300, B505, HS-125 and S70, qualified Matthew as a professional pilot and master trainer. Matthew also possesses a Master’s degree in Commercial Aviation, Summa Cum Laude and a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Pilot with Aviation Safety Minor.

These are what set Pray Aviation apart from the competition.

With an in-house team of aircraft mechanics in our personal hangar steps away from the main facility, the maintenance team is always ready seven days a week. Between the entire team, they have a total combined 75 years of experience to serve our customers. With our convenient personal hangar and maintenance crew, Pray Aviation is able to ensure quick turnaround times and deliver a high level of serviceability. This ensures our aircraft is always at its optimum performance level and available to fly daily throughout the year.

Our instructors are fully qualified Certified Flying Instructors with Instrument and Multi-engine ratings. They undergo a stringent selection process before being personally handpicked by the owner to become full time instructors. Here at Pray Aviation, our instructors are fully committed to helping you graduate as a pilot.
